• About

A freelance executive producer known for producing complicated, creative, live action and CG projects.

I strive to be inventive and insightful by being fearless in scope and thoughtful with the small details.  With resolve, creativity and strategic vision I aim to make the “impossible” happen.  I produce extensive domestic and international productions, managing complex matrix of spots, budgets and needs. I collaborate with iconic directors and artists and have relationships and contacts with major production and post companies throughout the US and beyond. I aim to be the ultimate problem solver.

Previous to being a multi-city freelancer, I served as the Director of Content Production at multi-national ad agency EuroRSCG (now HAVAS). During my tenure, the Chicago agency quadrupled in size and revenue, becoming the top performer in the network. I created and managed the broadcast and content department. This included staffing producers, building up post and audio studios, business and talent affairs, traffic and clearance and media asset organization for the agency. I was the client partner and expert for all agency production matters. Presenting and explaining methodology became a keystone for all my clients and something I have taken on to all my jobs.  My management policies advocate collaboration, full disclosure and transparency — from the creation of content with client and development partners to the mentorship and career progression of colleagues and staff.

Nine Monica Truths

9. A native Texan raised in San Antonio.  It is super hot there but worth a visit in the spring during Fiesta.

8. Experienced my first snow ever in the bitter chill of Hanover, NH where I studied at Dartmouth College and grew my passion for the craft, art, and technique of making film.  Even worked with my first client – former Surgeon General, C. Everett Koop.  We made CG animations for kids.

7. I moved to Chicago after college, made a ton of ads, built a department, managed and trained some insanely good producers and made friends for life.

6. My favorite enchiladas are my mother’s, but I am a sucker for all great Mexican food, including starting mornings with the often hard to find but easy to make: breakfast taco.

5. I have freelanced bi-coastally for both clients directly and agencies.  This experience has given me perspective to different methodologies and ways of working/managing.  I have the learnings mentally stored and ready to be utilized.

4. I am currently based in San Francisco with my family, including my son and inspiration, Asher. Asher has made me a more magical producer.

3. My son’s classmates think I am the best reader.  So I do a ton of scratch reads at work.  Maybe that’s a coincidence.

2.  I get excited with every project that I kick off.  Every. Single. Time.

1.  Honesty really is the best policy….and margaritas.
